The Farnham Flash Fiction International Competition invites writers from around the world to submit their audiobooks. We are especially interested in Celtic and Anglo-Saxon voices and storytelling traditions. Submit a sample of your audiobook for a chance to win cash prizes and gain recognition from a leading literary festival.

Farnham Audio Book Competition International New in 2026
Farnham Literary Festival is launching a new Audiobook competition with awards, recognition and prizes for english language audio book with a specific interest in anglo-saxon and celtic voices.
Whether you are traditionally published or and indie, whether you have 100M fans or just a handful, we want to her your audio books. We are looking for compelling storytelling, a uniqie voice and excellent production.

The judging panel will be announced soon, but you should expect it to include prominent writers, authors, and readers from Surrey, UK, and its surrounding areas.
The competition is organized by Sally Dickson, a member of Farnham Town Council and Chairperson of the Hogs Back Writers. She also writes SF thrillers under the pen name Sally Ann Melia.

Who are we? Farnham Flash Fiction International Competitions since 2018
Farnham Flash Fiction started in 2018 as part of the Flash Flash Festival, a 30-day event featuring performances, songs, and arts in Farnham, a picturesque Regency town on the edge of the Surrey Hills in the United Kingdom.
The competition is both local and international. Each year, there is a special prize for stories featuring Farnham, as well as a competition open to international entries.
There are three prizes of £100, £25, and £25.
The judge is a leading author based in Farnham. The judging panel includes prominent writers, authors, and readers from Surrey, UK, and its surrounding areas. Past judges have included Joanne Barnard and Ann Rainbow.
The competition is organized by Sally Dickson, a member of Farnham Town Council and Chairperson of the Hogs Back Writers. She also writes SF thrillers under the pen name Sally Ann Melia.
